Market Ha Market-Full day tour

Duration:in Days
Bac Ha market is located in north-west Viet Nam, near the Chinese border.  It is one of the largest and most colourful markets of the remote ethnic minorities in Viet Nam, and indeed, in all of South East Asia.   The marketplace, which is not only a major trading centre,  provides the local ethnic minorities and minorities from surrounding areas an ideal opportunity to meet with friends and relatives every Sunday.  The journey for some of the locals can often take hours and sometime a whole day.
The tour commences when our tour guide and driver collects you at Lao Cai station or your hotel in Sapa town.   After a three hour journey you will arrive at the famous 'SundayBac Ha Market’.  You will be amazed by the stupendous array of beautifully hand-embroidered, colourful, blankets and handicrafts available for sale.  Here many ethnic minorities such as Flower H'Mong, Phu La, Black Dzao, Tay and Nung minorities gather to buy and sell various local products including live dogs, cats, chickens, ducks, horses, water buffalos, cows, pigs plus meat, vegetables, wine, fruit and seedlings….   It offers a central location for the locals to socialise, dine, drink, get all dressed up, get their hair cut, take photos and even to find a lover and/or exchange their feelings.  So young couples in love definitely look forward to Sundays!
An enjoyable lunch will be served in one of the many local restaurants.  Afterwards,  you will explore the Ban Pho village of the Flower H'Mong and Nung minority.  You will find that the Hmong villagers are some of the kindest people you’ve ever likely to meet in Vietnam.  Learn about the minority's customs and daily routines by taking a stroll through the village and visiting their homes.  Here you’ll have the opportunity to witness first hand, the daily life in a minority village.
On the way back Lao Cai, our driver will stop at Trung Do village of the Tay minority - take in the beautiful surrounding sights of this interesting village before catching a boat down the Chay River to Bao Nhai where your driver will be waiting to collect you.
The bus will stop at the Lao Cai border gate where you can clearly see the border between Viet Nam and China by the Red River.  Next stop -  The Thuong Temple, an important Vietnamese historical and cultural site in northern Lao Cai province.  The Temple was built under the Le dynasty, in the Chinh Hoa years (1680-1750)  While you’re here you can take advantage of some great photo opportunities before we transfer you back to your hotel in Sapa or Lao Cai station.
After a wonderful day exploring so many new and interesting sites, your tour finishes around 6pm.
Price is inclusive of private transportation, English speaking tour guide, all entrance fees, lunch and boat trip.
